This Week In Science #6

This week in science we listed things that we think that crickets need to live. We also listed things that we need to survive. We also observed crickets for 2 minutes using different methods to see what they do most. We made two different types of Dichotomous keys yesterday.  We made a List and a Flow chart.
We as a group made them.
This week in science I learned how to make a list dichotomous key. Also I learned by my observations that crickets like damp towels more than dry.  I learned that crickets need-Air, a Nest, Food (any kind), Water, a Habitat and some kind of partner.

This Week in Science #5

This week in science we worked on our conclusions for our rocket investigations. We split into groups (A-B-C). "A" meaning you got an incomplete on the plant investigation and you haven't completed the rocket investigation conclusion. "B" meaning that you passed the milestone plant investigation but you haven't completed the rocket investigation conclusion. "C" meaning that you've completed both. We started a new unit. This unit is about Animals. We started with animal behaviors. We studied the behaviors of crickets.
This week in science I learned how to make a good conclusion. I learned every kind of behavior an animal can do. I also learned that crickets make a chirping noise by flapping their wings. I learned the difference between human behaviors and animal behaviors.

This Week In Science #4

This week in science we did our outline of our plant investigation. We divided the work to different people. We also wrote down what we want to better than the last plant investigation. On November 2nd me and one person from each group went to work with David. He showed us how to make the graph and then later post it to the Google document plant investigation. On November 3rd we used the laptops to work on the Google document plant investigation. I worked Data, Results and the plant Outcome.
A Line Graph
This week in science I learned that it's better to separate big work between a group so 1 person doesn't do more and so it comes out better. Also i learned how to make a graph using Google Spreadsheet and put the data in the table. Also i learned how to post the graph and the data on our plant investigation. Also I learned how the fish tank transports water to the plants on top.

This Week In Science #2

This week in science we DID many things. We made Testable Questions. We showed the difference between Dependent Variables and Independent Variable. Also we used Poppers to see how they work. On October 12th we researched Brassica Rapa's and we wrote questions that we want to know about them. Yesterday we planted plants to show dependent variables and independent variables. We drew our experimental setup.

This week in Science  I learned a lot of things. I learned what an independent variable and what a dependent variable is. I also learned a lot of things about Brasiica Rapa. I learned that Brassica is a Monocotyledon plant, it includes mustard, cabbage, collard, bok choy, kale, cauliflower, broccoli and turnips. I also learned how to write a testable question.

This is a picture of Brassica Rapa
